EIGRP Configuration Basics - Feasible Successors & K Metrics
In this video, we look at Successor Routes- Feasible Successors, and K metric values and what we can do to have a route have a different cost and appear as a successor route in our EIGRP Topology and IP Route table. **Note I kept saying the Administrative Distance when I meant the Advertised Distance... it's easy to confuse them by name as they both are the AD... however, the Advertised Distance determines the criteria for being a feasible successor.
The Administrative Distance is what is considered how trustworthy a routing protocol is over another. EIGRP is 90- OSPF 110- RIP 120 External EIGRP 170- Static Routes 1- BGP is 20 and so on. I just said the wrong one because Administrative distance is in my head more and easier to think of when thinking of the "AD"*** This video has a part.2 that continues into creating an -Off-set List ***Please subscribe and visit techjacks.net and follow me at techjacks@twitter to communicate** Thanks for watching!.
